About Me.

Topanga Scherf is a 4th year BFA Candidate in Dance at California State University Long Beach. She found her passion for dance in Clovis, California at The Dance Studio 2 before moving away to college to follow her dream of becoming a professional dancer. She is a creative mover that has trained in Ballet, Modern, Street and specializes in Jazz. She has trained with Steven Sophia and performed in pieces choreographed by Andrew Vaca at California State University Long Beach. Her goal is to pursue a career as a professional dancer in New York with the Radio City Rockettes. Topanga had the pleasure of performing in a group piece choreographed at a Gala for California State University Long Beach representing the College of The Arts. Topanga has continued to build her tap skills by training with Steve Zee. Topanga’s been able to learn dance composition skills from incredible teachers like Danzel Thompson-Stout, Tsiambwom M. Akuchu,and Rebecca Bryant. Additionally she had the opportunity to train with Holly Farmer and expand her knowledge of the Cunningham technique.
